• AR 1020 Survey Art History

  This course provides a survey of visual arts from the Renaissance to contemporary times.
  The intent of this course is to give students an overview and basic understanding of the major developments in Western European Art and culture. Focus will be primarily on painting with some discussion of sculpture and architecture.

  
  Slide lectures will follow approximately the same order as the text book, however emphasis will vary and additional material will be presented in class.
  Not all chapters of topics of the text book will be covered.
